
There are many castles in Ireland. Swords Castle was built for the Archbishops of Dublin as a manorial residence. It was Built around 1200. Ballymoon and so many other castle don't have a recorded history, but the architectural grounds help determine it was built around 1290-1310. The Ballylee was built in the six-teenth century near Cloon River and was purchased and rebuilt by W.B. Yeats(the poet) in 1916.

The Irish Civil War was fought in June 28, 1922 to May 24, 1923. The conflict was between the forces of the new Free State(supporters of the Anglo-Irish Treaty) and the Republican opposition who believed the treaty as a betrayal of the Irish Republic. This war took more lives than the War of Indepence against Britian. In the Republic of Ireland the two parties, Fianna Fail and Fine Gael, and dirent descendents of the two groups of the war.Information and picture from:
Saint Patrick was an Apostle of Ireland born at Kilpatrick near Dumbarton, Scotland in the year 387. The day of his death being March 17th, 461 later became St. Patrick's Day. When he was about 14 and captured and taken as a slave to Ireland(Roman parents) he prayed:
''The love of God and his fear grew in me and more, as did the faith, and my soul was rosed, so that, in a single day, I have said as many as a hundred prayers and in the night, nearly the same.'' ''I prayed in the woods and on the moutians, even before dawn. I felt no hurt from the snow or ice or rain.''
When he was around 20 he escaped after having a dream from God telling him to go to the coast. Another dream told him to go to Ireland again where he studied under St. Germanus. Patrick was later ordained a bishop. After he preached the Gospel all over in Ireland with his disciples converting thousands and started building churches all over. He did this for 40 years. He died in Saul was his first church was built.
